Good news for Foxconn. iPhone manufacturing and assembly isn't done exclusively in China. For several years, the Taiwanese industrial group Foxconn has also been assembling smartphones for the American company in India. The collaboration between the two entities could reach a new milestone in the coming weeks. Foxconn is expected to soon manufacture iPhone chassis. Foxconn to manufacture iPhone chassis in India The Economic Times has revealed that Foxconn is setting up a new unit in the ESR industrial park in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu, dedicated specifically to manufacturing iPhone chassis. Construction is underway, although the media outlet doesn't know when it will be completed. Until now, this part, which houses all the smartphone's internal components, was designed in India by Tata Electronics.
